Can I replace 15" late 2013 screen with the mid 2012 15"?

Hi …

I have macbook pro 15 late 2013 and my display is broken

I have found used but working display assembly from macbook pro 15 mid 2012 …

and it looks totally the same / conectors etc. /

But is it going to work properly ? can I damage my laptop with this ?

One does need to be careful! Even though the displays outwardly look the same and may have the same connectors does not necessarily mean they are the same.

In this case the MacBook Pro 15" Retina A1398 Mid 2012 to Early 2013 - P/N 661-6529 or 661-7171 is a very different unit than MacBook Pro 15" Retina A1398 Late 2013 to Mid 2014 - P/N 661-8310

You really need to stick with the correct unit here.

Only camera cable connector is different (6 pins-2012 vs 12 pins-2014). You could use 2012 to 2014 if no need for camera.
