Which part do you think should I replace?

i need to know what part i should replace on my iphone. it was out in the rain one night and now wont charge in anything, itunes wont recognize it either. i was able to run the battery down normally and it works fine. it just wont charge, is it the dock connector or battery? im going away and need to order the part tomorrow if i want it in time so please help quickly if possible

i know this is for a 3g but the only difference physically is the connection 7 on the dock connector. Id try cleaning the phone properly before buying a whole new logicboard! If it isn't recognised in itunes it more likely is the dock connector not the battery. If there is still power in the phone remember to power off before opening the phone to prevent damage to the LCD 修复iPhone 的进水故障 it is more likely the dock connector/connection is at fault here.

i cleaned everything and the connections. nothing changed. i just need to know which route i should take first, dock connector or battery, both labels on the logic board shield are still white

if your battery still has charge (use a multimeter to check) you could just try the dock connector. sometimes when the battery dies it is too dead to recharge so replace both..

unfortunately i do not have a multimeter. i purchased a dock connector but not a battery. if the dock connector doesn't fix it i'll grab a battery, and if that doesn't work..... well im going cheap until the iphone 5 comes out

hi charger bloo up wile i was using it now phone wont charge put old battery in witch had charge and phone worked but wouldnt charge i was thinking of changing dock connector but if its the two fuses on logic board big job any ideas please

changed dock connector no joy any ideas

try the dock connector first.. it's fairly cheap and easy to do. if that doesn't work then you can look at the fuses.. and you could pay someone at a phone shop to do the dirty work for you pretty cheaply.

Thanks.The wife put my iphone in the washer i got her back to life put a bigger battery in it 16 insten of the standed 12 not shore if it was wise 3gs battery ive got 3g does this matter?
