No coffee in cup, tray full of hot water, dry grounds in basket

My Jura Impressa C9 suddenly started doing this thing where it would sound like it was brewing but no coffee makes it into the mug. After running, the tray is full of hot water and the ground beans are completely dry sitting in the grounds basket.

I got a brew group refurb kit from a parts vendor (jura-parts.com) and did this very involved self-service using their youtube videos. Not easy, but it seemed to solve the issue for about a week. Now my C9 is doing the same thing again: no coffee in mug, dry grounds and a tray full of hot water.

I ran the cleaning program with a cleaning tab thinking maybe that would help descale things? I found the mostly undissolved tablet in the basket after the program finished.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.
