iTunes will not restore iPod

I recently changed the logic board in my iPod 160GB thick version. When I connect it to restore it gives me the prompt to restore, but then says “There was a problem downloading the software for the ‘iPod’. You do not have permission to access the requested resource”. What does that mean? Do I need to go to some other site to access the restore software? Apple doesn’t support this anymore and is no help. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.
