Samsung TV vertical colored lines always there

Curious if anyone can guess if this is the panel or TCON board, I've taken the thing apart and re-seated all the cables.

From everything I've seen on here and other places vertical lines usually indicates a board issue not a panel issue, the TV is from like 2016 not very old no color, brightness or contrast settings seem to change anything about the lines.

The lines go completely from top to bottom though they're not visible when the panel is on darker colors.

Tapping on the main board near the hdmi/usb seems to have 0 impact, at this point I'm assuming the panel is damaged but maybe someone here knows better than me…

I'm not too big on electronics and don't have a multimeter or voltage tester around to check power but willing to give replacing the board a shot, any answers are appreciated.

Most of the lines are in the center but there appears to be a few off to the left as well, I'm back and fourth with myself about it being a board or the panel at this point.

My guess is the panel is damaged if this is a newer TV. I can’t quite read what the model is. The new model screens can be very delicate and damage easy. So much, they are packaged specially because of this well known issue.

Sometime the vertical lines can be due to the ribbon cable connection at the edge of the LCD screen in contact with the PCB strip along the edge of the screen. Some line issues can be due to a board chip coming off from the board and losing connection.

You can test the connection by very careful observing if there is an effect when the ribbon cable is moved. If there is, those may need to be kapton or some kind of tape and maybe even foam padding to keep pressure on the connection of the ribbon cable and PCB.

If the issue is the main board chip… then you can replace the board or potentially reflow/reball the chip. Tapping probably won’t do much. I’d press firmly and carefully as that may help bridge contact.

My guess is the LCD panel is damaged… and if you don’t have a warranty… worth trying the connector around the bottom or top (I don’t have a service manual or have worked on) to see if the ribbon cable isn’t connecting.
