Cant boot into os x after dual booting windows with bootcamps.

I recently used bootcamp to dual boot windows on my macbook pro (mid 2014). When I tried to boot back into windows by holding alt at startup, the option to boot windows was gone. Since then I have deleted the windows bootcamp partion with cmd + alt + r at startup (erased it) and made a new os x where in the space bootcamp occupies. Under Disk Utility there is no macintosh internal disk and i'm unsure where to go from here. All help would be greatly appreciated.

Using BootCamp is not a true dual boot. You are running a special session within MacOS so when you deleted BootCamp you deleted the space Windows was running from.

Sadly, we can’t recover your Windows storage space BootCamp used. You’ll need to re-install it.

If you really want a true dual boot setup you’ll need to first copy off the Windows MacBook Pro drivers from within BootCamp or get them from Microsoft (depending on the Windows version). Then you’ll need to redo your hard drive’s setup into two discreet partitions one for MacOS and the other for Windows. Given the size of your internal SSD drive, you might want to first get a larger SSD 2 TB. That way you have enough space to run both independently. Otherwise, you may want to go back with the BootCamp or use VMware configuration.

Sorry I just realized I made a typo! I meant to say the option to boot into MacOS was gone and just windows remained.

The issue is that I can’t access MacOS volume. How would I go about doing that?

OK, so the MacOS Volume was deleted. Both of your volumes are setup for APFS so Windows is not working in this state natively. Your BootCamp volume is currently running MacOS and you are currently using BookCamp within it if you are currently seeing the MS Windows environment. Exiting Windows via BootCamp will allow you to access the Running MacOS underneath it.

Maybe if you've made backups right along, the best solution is to scratch the drive and set it up again. I would recommend you review the links I've posted above. You might want to re-think your volume names to not descriptive as it confuses.

I use simple names like 'Mary' and 'Jane' . Remember BootCamp is a Virtual Machine space within MacOS it's not native Windows!
