LeapPad3 screen is black but device is on

LeapPad3 screen is black but device is on - I tried a repair and reset with the connector software from my computer but the pad disconnects when the software starts the reset. I get a [message 41] error.

I Was Super Mad That The Screen Was Blacket Out But I Can't Do Anything With It So I Took It Back But They Can't Fix It So I Had To Put It Back And That Was It
