Water damage of batteries

Hi there. I used my GoPro in the water without the charging cover clipped on the side on the device. After that it worked on the odd occasion but you had to play around with the batteries. Not it looks like it’s stopped working altogether. I am unsure what to do or where to take it for someone to have a look at it.
