No screen after using too much heat during battery replacement
While replacing the battery in my wife’s apple watch series 2 38mm I used too much heat and ruined the LCD screen. There’s a section where that looks cloudy under the glass. I completed the battery replacement and figure I’ll see if I can get a replacement LCD at a decent price. However, I’m still not getting anything on the screen when trying to power it up. Would ruining the LCD keep the watch from booting or the screen displaying at all? Even after being on the charger for 10 minutes I get nothing, but the back of the watch is warm. I’m beginning to wonder if the battery was even the problem and I just wasted money. Any suggestions on what I should try before dropping a chunk on a new LCD? Thanks

Update: After charging for a bit and hitting the buttons randomly I am getting intermittent haptic feedback.

Update 2: So after leaving the watch off charger for about 16 hours I come home from work and hit the buttons then the screen comes on with the red charging icon suddenly. So now I know the screen is still functioning. Any ideas what I should check next? Gonna leave it on the charger for a while now and see what happens.

So the screen and charging functions are working? Do you have any issues left?
