Battery connector detached from motherboard... any fix possible?

The pins on the logic board are still all intact and I can line them up w the slots in the connector (the one that should be in the board). I can also, if I keep my finger on the connector, slide in the connector from the battery. Just not sure if it's "in tact" thanks for your help. BTW, I can't really test it as I can't get the machine to boot yet... it is getting power to the fan from. I've tried SMC reset, PRAM reset and I did get the keyboard backlit once. I've removed the SSD and found a bit of corroision/fluff on some connectors so I've cleaned that. I am going to try to remove logic board to get a look underneath but that's a bigger job. Most of all I am trying to figure out if the fact that if the pins on the logic board bit the connector if it might still make the connections.

Well, you don't need the battery plugged to troubleshoot your Mac, most important thing is to get it back running first and once that's done, since you seem to have all pads in place soldering back the connector would be a relatively easy task. Thanks -- I've done the water damage stuff...but will re-read that guide anyway. I actually took the system board out (I screwed up on the speaker connector... complete amateur, me... it lifted "up" not out... so that's another solder job). There wasn't any water in there but I could see some marks... I cleaned those w denatured alcohol... let it set and then re-assembled and tested... fan comes on... I did the SMC re-set as well for good measure... but doesn't boot up. I am going to try to test the drive card in another Macbook Air to see if it will boot and then focus on that if it's not bootable. I will send the machine out for soldering if I can get it to re-boot.... or maybe anyway... it's less than 2 years old. [I should also note that it's actually not my machine... it's my daughter's but I bought it for her!]

Having fan spinning is a start, liquid damage sometimes may be devastating and render board fixing impossible or too expensive. You can try plugging the Macbook to an external monitor/tv to understand whether it's a no boot or no image issue. In case you got an image you can plug back the screen and shine a light to it to see if it's just a backlight fault. However, it seems like you'll need to hand it over for component level repair for one reason or another.
