1 Cinema Display does not display but fan whirrs
My Cinema Display A1407 will no longer display.
It’s not recognized by MacBook Pro at all, it doesn’t show up as a secondary display.
When I plug in my Cinema Display the fan inside spins for a second and whirrs and then stops.
Could it be my Logic Board has finally gone out?

You can also hear the fan spinning when my MacBook is plugged in, but I still have no visuals, display options, or usb hub.
had a similar question few months ago... ended up parting out the display. interested in what the solution is for this one

It ended up just being the power supply. Swapped it out, and boom, picture and connection.
