iMac shuts down after progress bar reaches 75%
It loads extremely slow and will not boot from the Snow Leopard disk purchased from Apple Store. Disk does not spin nor can I eject.

Power down the system either pressing and holding the power button or pull the power cord.
Then restart your computer hold down the mouse button. If you have a 2 button mouse, hold down the left click (default). Or, if that fails, if your computer has an eject key on the keyboard, restart the computer, this time hold the eject key.
With the disk removed restart your system are you able to get it to boot up at all?
