ASUS VivoBook E12 E203MA - Is it possible to replace eMMC by 2.5" SSD?

I want to buy ASUS VivoBook E12 E203MA-FD018TS (White) and its default storage is 64GB eMMC flash memory. I found that storage can be replaced by SSD in E12 E203NA but cannot find anything about E12 E203MA.

Notebook specifications:

  • Display: 11,6 "
  • Storage: Flash 64 GB
  • Processor: Intel Celeron Dual Core N4000 Gemini Lake
  • Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 600
  • OS: Windows 10 S
  • RAM: 4 GB (DDR4)

So if anybody knows I will appreciate your answers. Thanks.

Normally eMMC memory is soldered to the mainboard. So it should be very hard to replace it.

Here’s a bit more on eMMC flash storage: eMMC vs. SSD storage: What's the difference? Sadly, you have no means to upgrade it from what you have now.

Your system does have a fast USB port (3.1) so I would recommend you get a Samsung T5 external SSD This is a small portable SSD which you’ll want to use to hold your data but leave your apps on the internal eMMC.

I was asking becouse of this: http://eu.crucial.com/eur/en/compatible-...

But on that site is "VivoBook E12 E203NA" and I want to do upgrade for "VivoBook E12 E203MA"... Sadly, I don't know if this is right.

Sadly, you really can't add an internal SSD to a Vivobook E12 E203MA because its storage is non-removable. Some people have done it with complications after. I would recommend getting a portable or external SSD to your laptop. It is the easiest and safest way to upgrade your laptop.
