How can I fix my charging portal?

My charging portal does not work. Looks like something is either stuck in there or a metal piece came apart inside the charging hole.

Here’s a link to the ifixit iBook G4 guides.

Click on the icon for your exact model and then find the repair guide for the DC-In board.

The guide has links to replacement part suppliers. Look for the parts section in the Introduction to the guide.

You have to disassemble the device. Make sure to order the correct part.
