stay on for about 4 minutes and then turns off and blinks red 11 times

have a 55” panasonic viera flat screen and it will turn on and stay on for about 4 minutes and then turns off and blinks red 11 times, pauses (no blinking, no light,) for about a second or two, and then flashes red 11 times again then pauses and repeats that cycle until i unplug or reset tv with the power button. Everytime i reset or unplug and replug tv, the tv will come on for about 4 minutes again until it $@$** off on its own and does the 11 red blinks. My dad just passed, he was the bread winner for the family, my moms alone so myself and my 2 children are with her so theres no money for a new TV. Any idea on whats going on with this TV and what i could do to fix it? Ive read alot about just pulling off the back and cleaning out the fans but it scares me to try and do that. Any helpful hints, tricks, or tips you could throw my way? Any information at all?
