Cannot get Pots N Pans mode/light to shut off on dishwasher

Dishwasher is operating, however out of nowhere, when I select either Normal or Low Energy for my wash cycle (which is what I’ve primarily selected for the last 10 years), the Pots n Pans light now also comes on and I cannot get it to come off. Never used to do this until last few weeks. The dishwasher still runs and cleans the dishes, however it does it in Pots n Pans mode. The dishwasher is a Whirlpool Gold Quiet Wash Plus #8051291. Not sure of age, however we bought the house 10 years ago and it was here.

I’ve held the Pots n Pans button down for 10+ seconds. Canceled the cycle numerous times. Tried resetting using Power Scour - Air Dry - Power Scour-Air Dry sequence, however cannot get that Pots N Pans light to turn off when running a cycle. (When the dishwasher is not in use, there are no lights on, as it should be. Only lights up when I select a Wash Cycle.) Also disconnected power and let it sit for 5 minutes.
