Is my ssd going bad

Around 3 months ago I updated my Mac from Sierra to high Sierra and and it was running very slow. So I replaced the optical drive with a cady put my original drive in it and put the ssd in the original hard drive spot. I also upgrade my ram from 4gb to 8gb. And I made the ssd my main drive after wipeing them both and installing high Sierra on the ssd. Worked great up until last week when I had 4 tabs open in Firefox and word doc I was working on everything was running very fast like always. Then I went to my class 2hr later went back to working with my computer and I was running extremely slow I called tech support I cleaned the ram, check the ssd, reinstall the OS nothing changed. So I did a clean install and it is running like before I put the ssd in. My Mac is the i5 model and the SSD is pny cs900 120gb in need to know if it is going bad.

As for the MicroSoft, click once on the APP icon, then go under File to get info.

On the cable, these are notorious for getting damaged by the bottom cover contacting the cable as it climbs the steps and goes onto the optical drive. Go with the wider 2012 cable and put padding on either side of the cable as it goes onto the optical drive. I use 3M Extreme Mounting tape for this. This wider cable also works better with the faster hard drives.
