Hello,
I have a strange problem, I have done many screen replacements for the iPhone 5c, However have never come across this. The screen replacement goes successfully however when I screw in the bottom screws the functionality of the home button is lost completely. I have ordered another set of pentalobe screws to see if its the screws however I am not sure? Any help would be much appreciated.

I doubt you have a “screw” problem. More likely it’s a replacement screen issue (if it was a full assembly) or something to do with the way you transferred the Home Button over from the original screen to the replacement screen. Check out these guides to see if there something you inadvertently missed.

If by installing the screws some kind of physical thing is happening to the button assy I would say you're on the right track. That's why I like to have a screw kit handy for whatever I'm working on - it's just too easy to lose those little things! :)
