Why won't my TV turn back on? LG50LN5200

Last night my TV abruptly turned off and wouldn't turn back on. There is a static red light at the bottom of the tv showing power when turned off but plugged in. After the tv turned off, this light did not come on although it was still plugged in. When I unplugged and replugged the tv in, I noticed that the light was now on but very dim. The tv still would not turn on. I left it unplugged overnight. This morning the tv turned on and worked for a couple of hours until repeating the issue. I was informed that this is very likely a power board issue. I'm trying to get a confirmation and whether just a component needs to be replaced or the entire thing. Attached are pictures of the power board.

Yes, it could be your power board. You do want to go ahead and measure a few things. If you do not have those voltages, it is your power board. You can either replace the board, or you can try to measure the individual components on the board etc.

The behavior you are describing suggests that there are some poor solder connections on the power board. There are actually 2 separate circuits involved here. There is the standby circuit that is active when the TV is off. This powers the red LED on the front and allows for the remote to work. Then there is the rest of the power board which powers the set when on. When the set shut itself down you indicate that the red LED was dim. This tells me that there was an excessive load on that and the voltage was less than 5V. I see nothing obvious in the pictures. I would ask that you have this board re-worked. This means that the solder connections are re-done. This MAY address the problem. If not, then we need to look at some components that are failing due to heat.
