iPad will not turn on
My iPad 4th Gen has just died and will not be resurrected. I tried force restarting, but that didn’t work.

What happened to the iPad just prior to this event? Was it dropped, repaired or came into contact with water? If not, then the first thing to check would be the battery. Was it showing signs of decreased life? Unfortunately, because your iPad no longer boots, it will be impossible to run a battery diagnostic.
In this case, you will need to open up the iPad and either measure the voltage directly at the battery or replace it outright to see if that solves the problem.

What happens if you put it on charge. Note that if it is completely discharged, it may take a long time until the charging symbol appears.
