When I plug lightning headphones into my lightning port the phone doesnt respond. I have replace the lightning port on the phone and tried different headphones, today I disconnected the port and plugged it back in and the headphones worked. What could have caused that?

Two possibilities here; the first is that the lightning port wasn’t seated properly and the pins weren’t proper;y lined up. The other is that there is an intermittent failure and the problem may come back.
When you have issues with the Lightning headphones, does the phone still charge and sync with iTunes?
