Ambient light sensor not working after screen replacement
I recently cracked my screen, and was told there is no apple-repair shop in my country. So I got a third party repair shop to get my MacBook Pro fixed. All seem to work fine, except my touch bar is to dim.
I found out that it was the ambient light sensor that is not working properly.
'automatically adjust the brightness' feature of my screen doesn't really work.
and I don't see the hole thats there for the ambient light sensor next(left) to the camera. (which im not sure if it supposed to be like that since I don't know what is supposed to look like)
---------------- my guess is the following:
I came to a conclusion that the whole is blocked. (from following tests)
Once I turned on the automatically adjust the brightness feature on, and
shine the light right into where the sensor is supposed to be at
- showed no response
Shine the light towards the direction where the sensor is supposed to be from the side through the camera hole, it seemed to work little bit. (the brightness was adjusting and so is the brightness for my touchbar) however, after I took away the light, it went dark again (even after I deactivated the auto brightness at the point when it was bright, which makes it the control point ).
is there any idea to fix this problem?
(I am not even sure if the "no hole" is the issue, its just my guess)
