no power yet plugged in

So I just unplugged my router and plugged it back in yet it says I have no power. I turned it off and on but it said the same thing. I don’t know what kind of router it is other than that verizon gave it to us. Also, the only light that is on is red next to power

Sounds like this router is provided from Verizon, correct? If so, I would recommend you contact them to seek a replacement for their Router/Modem.

If this is your personal router that was purchase, or if it was purchased (not rented), by Verizon. Flip the router over and see the Model No. Provide it so we may find some details about this equipment to assist further.

If you see '''red light on router''' that means, the virtual path from your equipment to the Internet is down.

Here are the solution to fix this problem.

  1. First of all, reset your Wi-Fi connection from the device
  2. For this, simply, go to Wi-Fi network settings and long press the SSID name of the network and choose Forgot network option.
  3. From a certain distance then, try to reconnect with the same network using valid password.

  • Switch off all the devices modem, router and computers also unplug their power cables.
  • Wait at least 1 to 5 minutes. We have found in some instances you need to wait at least 15 minutes
  • Plug the power cords back in, but don’t switch them on.
  • First turn on the modem and then wait for a few minutes for it to settle and all the lights to become stable.
  • Next switch on the router (if a separate device) and then wait for a few minutes for it to settle and all the lights to become stable.
  • Now turn on your computer, You should now be able to access the Internet.
