Is it really necessary to use adhesive to lock the display in place?

Hi,

I would like to know if I need new adhesive to lock the screen of an iPhone 6s after I opened it. Also: is it really needed if you install a totally new screen?

no its not needed, i never use adhesive even with iphone 7 or 8
