Did apple lock the screen programed to the cpu?

So I did some research about the touch id sensors and how apple locked them to the logic board. I did more research about the X, and I read somewhere that apple locked the face recognition from the screen to the logic board. Meaning, if I were to repair a broken iPhone X screen either, 1, the screen won't have functionality? or, 2, the face recognition won't function? can someone please answer this question... What i'm asking is if i replace a iPhone X screen, will the face recognition still work... bc I heard that they tided the restriction to the screen itself.

Just did an iPhone X screen replacement for a customer. Face ID worked fine. Ambient light sensor or automatic brightness did not work though. It has been said from another source that technicians are damaging the flex cables or components causing Face ID to fail.

Yeah it is Apple's way of saying "Screw you" to third party repair. They did this with every home button since the iPhone 5s until the 8+. If the ribbon cable is damaged, you are done with touch ID. Now on the X, if you break the digitizer and or LCD, and replace the screen you kiss Face ID goodbye. Might be worth the $550 fix from Apple if you really need it.

If you replace the screen on iphone X the face recognition wont work anymore, its integrated in the original screen from apple.
