Tried to glue lcd to frame, lcd don't work anymore

I once tried to replace the LCD on this device without a frame built in - and some how the red tape that I used made the LCD not work anymore - (I was trying to tape it to the original frame and was gentle with the part/flex). Of course, I brain-farted and tried to take the LCD out of the frame - thus breaking it (dang OLED panels!), without sending the whole display with frame attached to the vendor (which is what I should have done). Now, the display did display a blue line on the side, though - but it clearly broke somehow.

I now have the option of getting a replacement screen from a vendor due to store credits for about $20 (without the frame) and I want to know how exactly do I attach it to the frame without damaging the LCD? This is not a customer device, I just want a working Galaxy S7. Thanks.
