Cleaned and rebuilt carburetor, mower won't start.

I have a John Deere LA-105. The engine does not start when I crank it. If I spray some starting fluid into the air intake and crank it, it does start but dies immediately afterwards.

I have completely disassembled the carburetor, soaked it for a whole week in carb cleaner (instructions said only 30 minutes was required), washed it off according to instructions, blown it out with compressed air immediately afterwards, and rebuilt it with a rebuilt kit (new gaskets, float, needle, main jet, welch plug, etc.). I made sure to blow out every hole/orifice and that I could feel air coming out of the other side for each one. In short, I cannot think of any way that the carburetor could be cleaner.

The fuel pump works. I disconnected the fuel line from the carburetor and turned the key and about as much fuel as I'd expect comes out. The fuel bowl also gets gas in it when I try to start the engine.

The fuel shutoff solenoid works. I removed it from the bowl and turned the key, and it retracts and expands as expected.

After trying to start the engine for a long time, I removed the fuel/air intake from the engine (the pipe that connects the carburetor to the engine) and it was dry.

In summary: The engine turns over IF it gets fuel, the carburetor could not possibly be any cleaner, the fuel shutoff solenoid works, and the fuel pump is giving the carburetor fuel. Yet the engine does not seem to be getting any fuel.

The only thing I can think of at this point is that maybe the fuel pump doesn't create enough pressure to force the fuel through the main jet. I find this unlikely since it obviously pumps a decent amount of fuel out when I try to start the engine.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?
