MacBook wont boot without battery light indicator plugged in?

Hello,

recently i changed thermal paste on my macbook but accidentaly i broke up an strip connecting the battery light indicators with logic board so i unplugged it.

Now the problem is that mac doesn't boot up anymore and only reaction to charger is its reaaaaly low green light, almost unseenable.

Could the lack of this plug be the problem and will replacing it will help me?

Sorry for english, thanks!

Hello again,

i have no idea how and when but today i have just teardown everything and plugged all back and now it all works without battery indicator.

My only idea is that the keyboard connector was plugged in not deep enough because it was the only thing i could plug in just a bit deeper (around 0.5 - 1 mm)

Anyway, macbook has its life again so the only thing to do is to wait for new battery indicator.

Thanks!

Not sure what you did here somehow you’ve damaged something in the process. The logic board has the charging control logic so it is now having problems. Did you reverse or damage one of the other cables?

I would recommend you follow this IFIXIT guide in taking your system apart again to see if you made an error some how: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2009 Logic Board Replacement In addition what thermal paste did you use? Some are conductive so if you applied too much it will leak out and can damage the logic board.

Take a few pictures and post them here maybe we can spot what went wrong 在已经存在的问题里加入图片

FYI: the battery tester can be left disconnected without effecting things (making sure the ribbon doesn't short anything out).
