Answering machine on but won’t accept calls

Uniden cordless phone when a call comes it will not record if the phone is unanswered.

I cannot receive my messages and my answering machine is blinking for the amount of messages but when i try to retrieve them the message says i have no messages and i cannot delete the blinking
