My dualshock's speaker got sprayed by some water droplets

I've got a problem wth my controller's speaker and willing to find solution

Yesterday my 7yrs old bro came out of nowhere and just for his own pleasure he sprayed me with godamn water,idk maybe he thought it was holly water,so i cleaned the DUALSHOCK4 with a tissue then continued using it(without thinking that it might have touched the speaker,lucky me it did!) so when i found out i left the controller lying on its face for a day and nothing chaned

Now lemme explain the issue

The speaker is working and makes sounds,and that's good,however What's bad is the sounds it makes,like when the DUALSHOCK4 is supposed to play romantic ear relaxing sound,it plays buzzing heavy metal sound

As an example when i play GTA5 and go over my phone and call any character the normal ringtone sounds lower than it should be and the buzzing starts(yes,like an earthquake in your hands),so shall i keep it lie that for couple of days or what?

Plz dont just ignore this post any past experience would help !

Hi,

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the controller's operating design and could damage the components.

Rice is good to eat but it does not fix the problems caused by corrosion.

Don't Put Your Device in Rice. Here's Why...

First do not turn on your controller and then you need to with the controller turned off, remove the battery as soon as possible from the controller to minimize further damage.''

Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the controller and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 90%+ (available at most pharmacies) to remove all traces of corrosion and water. Do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is only 70% IPA or less, can contain scents and is not as effective. If you do check the label to verify the amount of IPA.

Electronics Water Damage

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted PCBs be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board.

Hopefully after you have done all this the controller might possibly work correctly again.

If this process seems too daunting, take your controller to a reputable, professional electronics repair service, experienced in water damage repair and ask for a quote for a repair.

If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later.

If it were me I would've put it in some rice when it happened, but sounds like your speakers done for, if it doesn't start working, you could just replace the speaker.

Well it's working but it makes buzzing sounds

In GTAV it makes the sound that it's supposed tb o be played with a little bit of buzzing so is there's any chance that it may become normal again by it self?

Tbh this happened and I just used a dry toothbrush and got the water out and the speaker is fine now
