How do adhesive strips work.
The pre-cut orange tinted adhesive strips used to attach the glass: How do you get them to adhere? Are they supposed to have a peel-away aspect to them? Like double sided tape?

Yes it is Double Sided Tape. The pre-cut orange tinted and 3M adhesive strips that usually ship with a purchased digitizer/screen are Double Sided Tape. So the top and bottom surface have the paper/plastic film you have to remover with tweezers, or get it started with the point of a pin or other object. Remove one side first, stick it down carefully, then remove other side paper/plastic and it is ready for final application.
