did I fry my new 3ds xl

i was fixing my 3ds top screen when i was done i turned it on and i got a blue light and a poping sound and it would turn off. after reading some forums i found that it could be a connection . so i open it to inspection it i decided to test it without the back case and had the battery on backward for like 2sec before i realized. now the light dose not come on or pops.but i connected it to the charger and the charge light come on.
