Which sensor is closest to the Battery?

I'm trying to monitor battery temperature over time. But I can't see it in the XRG 2.5

But from the available sensors, which one really could best indicate the temperature of the battery? In other words, which one is physically located closest to the battery?

I'm using MacBook Air (December 2017)

Recommendation for iStats alternative with Battery Temperature Graph

Is there a way I can see a graph of the battery temperature? I could do that from iStats Menu. Now I have to resort to XRG which doesn't really have 'Battery Temperature' :'(

I need to see the graph FROM MENU BAR. Not a persistent widget blocking my awesome wallpaper.

Update (04/18/2018)

I used another 3rd party tool to compare and concluded the following correlations:

Bottom Sensor #0 ~ Battery Sensor Max

Bottom Sensor #1 ~ Batter Sensor 1

Bottom Sensor #2 ~ Battery Sensor 2

How about accessing the batteries own thermal sensor? I would use CoconutBattery to see it:

If you want to monitor it over time I would use TG Pro's built in logging function and then import it into a spreadsheet. You'll need the full version to do it.
