How to find the right replacement charge port

I want to know I am buying the right replacement port for my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Model SM-N9005. The model number does not have a letter on the end unlike the options for the parts. Which one should I buy? Also, is the Australian Ifixit shop selling this part? It looks like it is only selling Apple replacement parts? Thanks

If you can match up the model number up to at least the label sticker in the battery compartment, it's OK.

Hi @scamaram ,

Scroll through this link to find suppliers of your model #9005 part, that suits you best.

Seems as though the ifixt shop Australia does only sell Apple spares, although the ifixt shop USA doesn't carry your particular part anyway.

You could always contact the Australian store and ask if they are going to stock other parts besides Apple in the future. (click on contact top right corner of page)

Hello Mara.

Can you take a photo of the lettering on your existing part?

You are correct that N9005 is the right model number for your device. Not ALL Samsung models end with a letter.

If you were to find a part labeled N9005 it would be usually be correct. But sometimes, rarely, samsung uses multiple revisions of part. The "rev#.#" will be printed on the flex with your n9005 model number.

Thanks for your reply! Ifixit doesn't list a replacement port for just N9005, theirs all have a letter on the end. I'm not sure if that means I can't buy the part through Ifixit

No, it must say N9005. If, for instance, you use n900a or n900p, charging may not work, microphone may not work, phone may have no signal.
