How to resolve elevated screen upon assembly replacement?

After repairing my iPod and replacing the LCD assembly I have noticed that parts (not the entire screen) are raised. I replaced the adhesive around the unit with generic 3M "tape" with the mindset that it would holster the screen down to a flushed position as before. However, such is not the case. The screen is raised at the top left and bottom right as if it is being squeezed with force on the top right and lower left. But it fits flush and there is no pressure on those two sides causing this problem. How should I resolve this issue? Replace the adhesive once more? Any suggestion are most definitely welcome.

Mine is doing the same thing except the bottom is seated perfectly and sticks but the whole top part is elevated and I'm scared to keep pulling the screen off because I don't want to break it and ruin the LCD. I believe I folded the ribbon properly but it still is elevated. HELP! Please!

the top left is because you didnt tuck in the black wire, this should fold in on itself when you put the screen back, not over hang into the screen area, the bottom right is usually the screen shield being put back in place slightly wrong take it out and make sure that the 2 hooks are correctly seated on the right hand side, what ever you do dont put any pressure on the top one or you will crack the lcd ruin it!

Thank you Adam!!! This was exactly the problem I was having. The thin screen flex ribbon keeps the screen from seating properly when hanging over under the screen. Folding the ribbon resolved all the other issues for me. Gracias!
