No response on itunes or charging.

My iPod glass and LCD got broken(dropped) but it was working just fine, the touch and all buttons.

So I got a new touch sensor and LCD, followed the instructions to change them. But at the end the iPod wont turn on, iTunes does not recognize it and wont charge anywhere.

I did do it all over again to check all connections but with the same results.

Please help??

What happens if I connect the iPod with out touch and the LCD??

Does iTunes recognize it now? Just wondering.

If it does, then the problem is on the board or connector and not on the job of changing the parts. Right??

Try using different usb ports on your computer. All usb ports carry 5 volts. Not all carry enough current to charge your battery. If that doesn't work try a different cord. If that doesn't work look for debris or bent pins in your charging port. Remove any debris if found. If you find bent pins there is a replacement here. The replacement part requires soldering. If everything has checked out to be in good order so far. Your battery may have drained during the repair down time. You may need to check the voltage of your battery with a multimeter that can test for DC volts, my understanding is the computer may not recognize it if the voltage is under 3 volts. This thread here will explain how to solve that problem. If none of the previously mentioned solve your problem check the charging dock connection to the motherboard, as well as the other connections. Instructions for removing the motherboard are here.

I'd suggest removing the glass and LCD again and reseating all of your connections. My guess is that your dock connector isn't not properly connected to the logic board. That would explain why it's completely unresponsive.

Let me know if that doesn't work after you try it.
