Black and white barcode type bars across top of screen.

Just replaced the lightning port on an iPhone 6. Everything went normally until I powered the phone back on and the screen was all messed up. I opened the phone back up unattached and reattached all of the cables that go from the screen to the phone, turned the phone back on and have this weird strip across the top that almost looks like a barcode.

I've unattached and reattached several times and it is still there. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it fixable or am I going to need to buy a new screen?

In case anyone else has this problem, the solution ended up being just putting the phone back together, powering it on and leaving it over night (phone on but screen was asleep) and the bars faded and eventually went away completely. Not sure what causes this exactly but thankful for an easy fix!

This solution worked for me. I turned on the phone and monitored the screen during the evening. The bars slowly faded away over time. NICE SOLUTION AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING! Joe

Probably going to need to replace the screen, looks like the ribbon cable has gone bad for the screen.

If this is an iPhone 6 plus on the other hand be careful about touch ic as it shows grey bar on the top and intermittent dead touch issue.

That is what some other people on other forums suggested as well. However, someone suggested just putting it all together and powering it on and leaving it over night. I did that and the lines were gone in the morning. No clue how that works but just happy it did!
