Does anyone think this could be what is causing Touch ID to fail?

Block Image

The "gunk" I have circled in this picture of the home button here is the only thing I can find that looks wrong with the Home Button and It's Connector to the Shield Plate on the back of the LCD. Everything looks perfectly fine except for this connector on the logic board. Thoughts?

also if you do think this is the problem how would I go about removing this? Isopropyl Alcohol?

Thanks for any help!

I would use very fine tweezers and be very careful taking it off to avoid damaging the connector.

Better to try isopropyl alcohol and brush first. And yeah the two pins are blocking the connection to the home button extension cable so it's probably stopping touch ID from working.

Used isopropyl to clean it! Didn't have any tweezers small enough (that didn't have flux on them) to try to get it out with. A brush and some isopropyl did the trick to get it off and Touch ID has been restored. Thanks for the answer my friend!
