For some odd reason every time I insert my Animal Crossing New leaf into the game slot it doesn't show up on the screen. I've tried this with my other games and they seem to work. What can I do for it to be the same with my Animal Crossing.

You need to first try to clean the contacts on the cartridge it's self. I suggest getting a small stainless steel brush and gently scrub the contacts up and down. If you don't or can't get the brush, take a red rubber pencil eraser and use it to scrub the contacts. after you have cleaned the contacts, get a cotton swab and isoprophyl alcohol (preferably 80% or higher concentration) and go over the cartridge contacts for the final cleaning. If this fails, the cartridge has gone bad.
Never use nail polish remover on a game cartridge. There is a good chance of melting the plastic and ruining the cartridge.

Under no circumstance use nail polish remover. There is the possibility to melt the plastic of the cartridge.
