How to turn on the laptop using only external monitor?

Hello.

I broke my Dell's LCD long time ago , and yesterday came up with idea to try it with external monitor.

Yesterday It worked. I got beeps like always but somehow it worked, it showed me on external monitor, everything was just fine.

Today it's not working anymore. I power up my laptop, instantly get 8 beeps and nothing more, no picture on external monitor anymore.

I tried pressing many buttons while powering on, nothing helps. Also sometimes laptop's fain or what does it call, the exhaust, the wind whatever, starts to work louder, looks like the laptop is really on.

By the way the laptop is with password, so maybe this is the problem, if I could take down the pasword so maybe I would be able to enter it after pressing the enter, but I don't understand how I turned it on yesterday, i didn't putted any pasword in blind, just with some luch It worked.

8 beeps is a display failure. (you may already know though)

Looks like you just shut it down and then hold the "D" key and while holding it turn the power on.

Yes i know. But te d+power does not working.

As I know this method is to troubleshoot the display.

My laptop has broken lcd or the lcd cable.

I need to login or somehow start up the laptop straight with extrrnal monitor

Also, you could try booting it with the LCD closed and a mouse and keyboard connected to it and the monitor connected to it. it may automatically switch to that screen.

yep, tried kinda everything. Don't understand what miracle was yesterday.

I could try blind login but my psw has numbers and don't know if the numlock is on or off.

Try it with numlock and without numlock.
