Why is my screen still not working?

Alright, so basically I bought this MacBook pro retina (a1398 2012 15") about a year back from a guy who had spilled liquid down the screen so it only works on a external display but apart from that it works fine. Recently I decided I would give a try at fixing the onboard screen so I took it apart where I found a small amount of liquid dried up at the top of the logic board which clean up with little effort and from what I could see it hadn't caused any damage.

Then I took off the screen and started to dismantle it where I found there was corrosion and burnt out chips on the lvds connector so I was pretty sure this was my problem. After finding this I did a bit of testing with the screen where I found it does glow if a light is shined through the back of the apple logo when powered on. Also the display is sort of still recognised by the computer for example if I go into windows boot camp it shows two screens to select from when I only have one plugged in. Although on mac os x it doesn't show up in the system report, if I open up display options and take a screenshot it shows at only 720p resolution option with MacBook image instead of tv.

I proceeded to purchase a lvds connector and take the hard job of soldering it on the screen side of the lvds cable (at the bottom of screen under black bar). After doing this to the best of my ability I plugged it in to test it again with no further progress, still glows with light shining through apple logo. One difference I did notice is the full retina resolution showed up when I took a screenshot of the display options (After serval reboots it now only shows 1080p which is still more than before).

Now I was stuck between something else being the problem or my soldering job not being perfect or even the actually pad connections being bad as the burnt out pins didn't have the cleanest board pads but in my opinion should connect and work. Then I read something about the backlight fuse having gone which from what I understand the chances are that isn't my problem since when I shine the light through the apple logo I just see a green glow with lines and after sometime it turns pure green without lines. If it was just the backlight fuse I should see a image when shining the light from what I understand. Even with this in mind I used a multimeter to test the fuse and what do you know, it had blown so I ordered one in and replaced it. I tested the new fuse before I put it in and it showed to be working fine. After installing it I gave it another try and still no luck same results, the fuse didn't blow again as I tested it after trying the screen.

I'm pretty much at a lost cause for options right now. I did read something else about a backlight driver which I had a look at the chip I think they are referring to and it looks to be fine but I don't know of anyway of testing.

Basically I need to know how to fix it or what is the next step in the right direction.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Maybe see if any of those burned out pads, to the best of your ability, run to any of the display driver chips on the board. It could be just an issue of an unattached lead. Hope this helps.

Okay, I'll have a look when I have the time. Thanks for the response!

You might have to run copper wire from the pins to the next element in the circuit. (I like the copper from small board components or ear speakers myself)
