How to open Seagate ST90000U2-external hdd case & remove drive
hello,
This seagate case uses 5-point screws (torx plus?), the problem is i do not know what size so as to find the appropriate driver.
any help/ideas much appreciated.

You could measure the size of the 5star or you could be a set of the screwdrivrs.Size Inch point to point [in] Metric point to point [mm]
T1 .031 .81

I had a case like that; I believe I was able to remove the screws using a small flat screwdriver that was able to fit tightly enough into the screw head. Once I removed the screws, I replaced them with regular phillips head.

I can confirm that the screws for the casing of the Seagate ST90000U2 external HD are Pentalobe #6. You need a screwdriver PL-6 (Pentalobe #6) for these screws. I got a set of screwdrivers from a German company called Wiha, available on Amazon.
