Why is my camera won't turn on?
This happened suddenly, there was no water damage or shock damage. I have 2 batteries, last time i've fully charged it and now it won't turn on IF the cable charger doesn't attached. It will normally works when the cable is attached, the camera would turn on and works fine and the battery indicator shows it fully charged, but doesnt charge at all, and when i unplugged the cable it will shut off immediately. Same thing if i plugged the cable, it won't charge at all even if i didn't turn on the camera, it just went blank. I've tried both of the batteries and it happened the same. Does anyone knows what is going on with my camera?

I have a similar problem with the added feature of the LED light on the flash blinks intermittently. The battery is definitely charged and the inside doesn't show any issues with the connector plates (corrosion etc) from what I can see peering into the battery slot. I'd love to try a hard reset if it existed, but from what I can read I need to be able to access the menu which is hard to do with no ability to power on! Anyway, any ideas are appreciated.

The camera seems to not recognize the battery .... sometimes .. let me explain.
If the battery has been in the camera for awhile, many times it won't turn back on.
If i take the battery out, and put it back in, it turns on.
This is obviously not possible if it is in the underwater case and i am diving! Very frustrating ! i prepare the camera before diving, and by the time i get in the water, it won't turn on.
Any easy suggestions as to what i might try. i am on an extended diving adventure for 2 months in SE Asia with no access to an Olympus repair center.
