My DVD drive Matshita UJ-85J can not write DVD +/-R anymore.
I need the latest driver to replace the driver that seems modified by an "update"
Can any one give me a link to download the driver?
I searched the internet for hours and hours but cannot find it.

Hi, Did the drive ever burn in Vista. I have found several discussion groups that state it will not burn in Windows software but requires an additional program. I am providing a link to one of the discussions. Hope it helps you.

Ellen, when attempting your next burn try lowering the speed at which you burn, it's never a good idea to burn at maximum speed. It reduces the already lower quality Drives lifespan. I have had trouble with mine and I rarely use it. After lowering the burn speed it works just fine.

Have you checked with the support staff at Panasonic.com the maker of your drive? You should get some answers on their site about you drive. good Luck

I can not find a driver for this type of drive on their website
Did you send an email to their support? In the past I did get some good info from them, even so I am not a Panasonic fan. Worst case scenario, they wont answer. Nothing to lose ;-) just an idea.
