Unable to charge and to boot my MacBook after applying new thermal pas

Hello,

I disassembled my macbook to clean it for dust and apply new thermal paste.

Evertything was fine and I did it very carefully. But now I can't boot (I did it with the battery almost empty and the charge indicator works well and flash to indicate an empty battery) and the macbook didn't charge.

The indicator light on the magsafe charger doesn't glow...

Any idea how I should go with this?

I tried Shift+Crtl+Alt+Power Button to reset SMC. I don't know if ti's the good method but I didn't change anything...

Thanks in advance for your help

It sounds like you don't have the battery connected correctly. Are you able to power the laptop on with the power cable attached? The fact that the lights on the magsafe charger are showing nothing leads me to believe this is your problem.

Thanks for your help.

I have disconnected and reconnected the battery various times.

When disconnected the lights on the side of the MacBook which give us the actual charge of the battery don’t show anything.

When I reconnect it, the first light blink to indicate an empty battery.

So I don’t think it is the trick.
