So if I wanted to replace my iPhone 6s display, could I just get another iPhone 6s display and switch them, but also use the same original home button? Are there any other steps I need to know other than knowing how to take out the display and reattaching the display? Do I need a heat gun or blow dryer or not? I'm doing this because my screen is broken and I already ordered a new display to replace...

You can do that, but your finger print scanner will not work. No apple pay : ( The motherboard is married to your button. You'll want to use yours if you can.

Yes you can just swap out the screen it usually comes with tools, but I like to use a spudger to open the phone. I advise using a little heat near the home button connection. The flex cable is pretty flimsy and sometimes the adhesive can have a snug hold. You do not want to damage the home button on disconnection. I strongly advise using one of the step by step guides on disassembly and putting your screws in order. Let me know if you have any other questions man.
