Broken LCD, hard drive, connect two computers

I dropped my acer switch alpha 12. The screen is cracked, the keyboard cable is broken from the connector, and I can turn it on, and that is about it. At one point when I removed the LCD screen from the backing, windows narrator came on, not sure how but it did.

I have it connected to my tv, thru a VGA and USB adapter, I can hear the processor and hard drive working, but the only thing that appears on the tv is the mouse pointer, the rest is all black. I can hook up my Toshiba just fine to the tv.

Is there a way to connect the acer to my Toshiba laptop so I can extract contents on my acer hard drive? Where is the hard drive at anyways? Under the copper shield?

I am hoping to get a new connector and solder it on the board to hook up my keyboard (work in electronics) , so I can try to get to bios when it boots up. I do not know if the hard drive got damaged, but considering narrator was on before, I know windows booted up but could not see it due to the cracked screen and it went black.

Now I'm not sure if windows is booting up or not, or that since the LCD screen is broken, I won't see anything but the mouse pointer. I have school info on there that I need ASAP. I bought an external hard drive hoping I could extract from my acer, but I can't get it to connect to my laptop. I found a replacement LCD screen, but, I don't want to spend that kind of money if windows doesn't boot or the hard drive is damaged.

My acer has 1 USB, and 1 C port. My Toshiba, has 3 USB, 1 HDMI, 1 Ethernet.

Thank you. I do have it taken apart, I soldered a new connector on the board for the keyboard flex cable, but nothing is working now. Been waiting 8 hours for the battery to die, since there is no activity, it could be a couple of days..haha. I found a flex cable online, but, I guess my priority now is to get my stuff off of the SSD.

@blondiez1970 "Where is the hard drive at anyways?" it does not have one. It uses an SSD. It is possible that you can get that SSD moved to another computer to access it but I would suggest to start replacing the LCD on your Acer. You most likely will have to take it apart anyway to get to the SSD.
