What is this components which leaked?

Hello, my Macbook Air does'nt start, it looks dead, the battery is charging, I tried all the tricks I found in the forum, SMC reset … all of them.

I opened it and tried also to start with the pads, and also with the start button and discovered that the fan started to turn and stopped. Each time I push the start button the fan turns 2 seconds and stops. All that with the battery connected, or the battery disconnected and with the magsafe

.

I found that a component leaked a bit, the leak looks like brown jam.

I join a picture, the component is highlited in green (I took the picture from the site, so you won't see the leak).

I suppose that the motherboard is to be changed, I don't have the skills to change this component.

I'd like your advice.

Thanks for your help.

It looks like a Tantalum capacitor. Tell us what the logic board number is 820-XXXX-X and we'll be able to tell you what component it is. You should also add a picture of the actual component and it's "jam".

Lots of folks can do this repair for you. You just need to look up macbook micro-soldering or board-level repair on Google. Several pros frequent this forum too so do some research.

EDIT

This is C1768. It's a 270UF/20%/2V/Tantalum capacitor/CASE-B2-SM
