no hi beams when en-engaged and no lights set in low beam
changed light to ulta bright lights..when i turn them on i have no lights ..when i turn on high beams ..i have low beams...in low beam position I have no lights at all

First thing I would do is to check that the connectors match. It sounds to me that your connectors are not matching up at all, that is why you have this issue, your high beam power erroneously connects to the low beam of your bulbs. Change your lights back to the original, check that it is a functioning right, than change your lights to something that properly matches. Good luck.
