Battery Door Broken Record button will not depress

The Red Record Button will not depress. It seems a small piece of black plastic fell out of the battery door compartment when I opened it one day. It seems that could have been an actuator for the record button function. I could not engage the Red Record Button and had pushed on it hard, I opened the door, a small piece fell out and now the camera is inoperable. I had hoped this was a replaceable part that may connect with a ribbon cable to the main board, but I have not seen any replacement parts on Sony's site for the record door. Anyone have some ideas?
